Joze

Hearts (Things Left Unsaid) is the second of four projects in Joze’s House of Cards series. The first, Spades, traced his roots: family, character, and the source of who he is. Hearts unfolds as one late-night phone call. As the conversation moves through what was left unsaid, Joze begins to see that he’d spent so long looking outward for something he had to find within himself.

The sound is velvet soul: D’Angelo-style grooves meeting country storytelling, with warm R&B vocals and sharp pop melodies. It’s intimate but expansive: live-feeling instruments, hooks that stay with you, and a voice that can sound assured one moment and exposed the next. Every song feels like another turn in the call, until the person Joze finally has to face is himself.
